A Complete Contract Electronics Manufacturing Service
Many businesses start by outsourcing one part of their production, perhaps PCB assembly or component procurement, and manage the rest themselves. As products scale and complexity increases, the overhead of coordinating multiple suppliers grows quickly. Intercole provides a complete production service that eliminates that coordination burden.
From sourcing and procuring your components, through SMT and through-hole assembly, box build and wiring, to board-level and final product testing, everything is handled under one roof in our Hampshire facility. You deal with one team, one quality system, and one point of accountability.
Component Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Component procurement is one of the most time-consuming and risk-laden parts of electronics production. Lead times, price fluctuations, component obsolescence, and the risk of counterfeit parts all create challenges that consume engineering and purchasing resource and introduce production risk.
Our procurement team sources from authorised distributors and manages your component supply chain as part of a fully integrated service. We plan for long lead time items, handle incoming inspection, and maintain the traceability records that regulated industries require. For businesses that prefer to supply their own components, we are equally comfortable working on a consignment basis.
Board-Level and Final Product Testing
Testing is integrated into our production process from the outset rather than treated as a final step. Board-level functional testing verifies that assemblies perform as designed before integration into finished products, while system-level testing provides the final quality gate prior to delivery.
As part of our PCB assembly service, assembled boards and final product assemblies can be fully tested to customer specifications to ensure faultless operation and long-term in-service reliability. Our capabilities, including advanced SMT assembly, support high-quality results throughout both the manufacturing and testing stages.
Testing may be undertaken on customer supplied rigs, or alternatively we can design and manufacture appropriate test rigs and fixtures, ranging from simple to highly sophisticated, with PC control and automatic print-out.
Automated Test Equipment (ATE) can be used to cycle hardware modules through stringent test conditions and calibration procedures. Environmental testing services are also available, including accelerated life testing (burn-in) to assess component durability and confirm that modules meet specification under varying environmental conditions.
Test records are maintained for all assemblies, ensuring full traceability and supporting the requirements of customers operating in regulated industries.
